- The 100 Mile Club is in full swing! The 100 Mile Club is a program offering the challenge to run/walk/jog 100 miles over the course of a school year. Click here for more information. Most students still need to submit $10 for full participation in the program which includes a T-shirt at the 25-mile mark. We are beginning daily runs in the neighborhood and would love parent volunteers who can help monitor students during recess (12:30 - 1pm). Please email Mr. Logan if you can help.
We will be taking Interims in both reading and writing. These scores will be available at our soon to be announced Parent Teacher Conferences. We are also wrapping up our nonfiction (sustainable economics) reading unit. Our next unit will be a novel study around a science fiction story.
Students will start finishing stories and transition to the revise and editing stage of their writing process.
Students will take a look at solving a problem around disposal and then we will be working towards asking what represents a good choice in economics. Soon, we will start our Food Projects. Our demonstration night will serve as an opportunity to learn more about all of this work.
After a pretty rough mid-module exam, we are taking a closer look at the key ideas so far in this unit. Check here for assignments and lessons. We are in lessons 12 & 13 this week.
