We have a short week and some information about Parent Teacher Conferences below.
Excursions:
- On Wednesday we are going to the zoo for a science field trip. Make sure students bring comfortable walking shoes, a water bottle, and layered clothing. Thank you for the folks that have signed up to help chaperone.
Reading and Writing: This week we will finish our 2nd Interim, reflect on the first 3rd of the year and continue reading and writing about arguments.
Math: Hi 7th grade families. We're wrapping up our unit on ratios and proportions this week. This is the fun part of the unit where we've learned all the necessary skills and tools and we just get to practice putting them to use. Because of the short week and our field trip on Wednesday we only have 2 days of math this week. On Monday we'll focus on common misconceptions that I've seen on some of the recent formative tests and some online practice then on Thursday we'll be doing a mini proportions project. Be sure to ask them to share their project with you! If students want some extra practice there is a ton of links on 7th grade math google classroom (they know how to access).
EfS: Students are studying about the material life cycle of products as they consider who they are as a consumer.
Sports: Football and Volleyball continue playing games and working hard
Extra:
- We have no school on Thursday or Friday.
-lots of pictures at our blog site of excursions!
-Parent Teacher Conferences the week of 11/7. We will be available for meeting 4 days that week. Click here to sign up for a slot. If that week doesn't work for you, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Thanks,
7th Grade Team
