Welcome to the weekly 7th grade update! These emails are designed to keep you up to date on what's happening inside and outside the classroom here in the seventh grade.
- International Towne is this week on Thursday, January 29th! We will take a trip to Young Americans Bank in Cherry Creek North to participate in a great opportunity to explore global economies and interdependence. We will need as many volunteers as possible to attend this great event! If you can be free in the morning between 9:30 and 1:30, Please contact Mr. Piza or Mr. Logan for more information. THANK YOU! **Announcement forms went home today which are different than permission slips. Please only sign if your child will not be attending the field trip for any reason.
- Thursday Folders are coming home! 7th graders should be bringing home returned work along with any announcements every Thursday with a signature page for parents / guardians. Be sure to sign and return the page so your student is not asked to stay in Overtime after school. Also, this is a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours preparing Thursday folders! Contact Mr. Logan if you have free time Thursday mornings to help.
- Here's another 100 Mile Club plug! Most students have passed the 25-mile mark and simply need to pay the $10 fee to receive a 100 Mile Club T-Shirt. Click here for more information and please send in $10 if you haven't already (checks can be made out to DPS).
We are trying answer our question, "how democratic was the Roman Republic?", this week as we continue to practice with multiple sources for argument or answer to a complicated question.
We will be finishing our companion book this week. Student will take an on-demand assessment next week to demonstrate some of the skills that we worked on in this unit.
Our field trip to International Towne is this week on Thursday! We'll be making final preparations this week to be ready for running the global economy.
